Niels Bay: Project manager

Professor Niels Bay received both his M.Sc. (1972), Ph.D (1977) and D.Sc. (1987) at the Technical University of Denmark. He is Professor of the Metal Forming and Joining Group at the Technical University of Denmark.

His research interests includes: Metal forming, theory of plasticity, analysis and optimization of processes, tools and presses. Research especially focussed on cold forging, plate rolling, hydroforming, incremental forming of sheet and manufacturing of superconductors. Manufacturing tribology: Testing and modelling of friction, lubrication and wear in metal forming. Solid phase welding: Analysis and modelling of bond formation in cold welding. Resistance welding: Spot welding and projection welding of complex geometries and material combinations. Numerical modelling of resistance welding. Testing of resistance welding machines.

 
 

Peter Christiansen: Deputy project manager

Researcher Peter Christiansen received both his M.Sc. (2010) and his Ph.D (2014) at the Technical University of Denmark. He is researcher at the Metal Forming and Joining Group at the Technical University of Denmark.

His research interests includes: Metal forming, ductile damage modelling, tribology, FEM-analysis.

 

Mohd Hafis Sulaiman: Ph.D-student

Mohd Hafis Sulaiman received his M.Eng. (Mechanical) in 2009 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

 

His research interests includes: Metal forming, tribology, numerical modelling.

 


Esmeray Üstünyagiz: Ph.D-student 

Esmeray Üstünyagiz received her B.Sc. (2012) at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey and her M.Sc. (2015) at the Technische Universität Dortmund, Germany.

Her research interests includes: Metal forming and numerical modelling with a focus on the testing and modelling of friction and lubrication in sheet metal forming.

 

 

Marcel Moghadam: Ph.D-student

Marcel Moghadam received his B.Eng. in 2014 at the Southern University of Denmark and his M.Sc. in 2016 at the Technical University of Denmark.

His reasearch interests includes: Metal forming, tribology
